Have you entered one of the daily FREE tournament or premium tournament in yahtzee with buddies? You feel really good about your 455 points you got as your final score and then realize that someone just got 880 and you may have a shot at an honorable mention.Did you say, "What the cuss?!" or "How the cuss did they get that 880 score?!" Your immediate thought is: this game is rigged or someone is cheating, or even maybe - why even play since there is no possible way I'm going to win this cussing game.
The best you can hope for is to accomplish the honorable mention achievement and get the "sunshine custom dice."
If there is a prize other than the 200 or 1,800 bonus rolls something like a black diamond custom dice, then probably the top five or so will get 880 (aka perfect score, 13 yahtzee game).

DeleteHow is that a perfect score if the 4 of a kind can be 30 points +50 by getting a yahtzee with 6's and not twos?

DeleteThere are two ways they're doing this. 1 is with an app. 2. Is they're playing on multiple devices, rolling all the dice and writing down the results but not entering. They then go into settings and clear data. Since they then know how the die will fall, they just choose the best hands and enter. Usually all Yahtzee's. It pisses me off because I can never win a Platinum Tournament. I've started screen cap'n those that post perfect scores. I've told Scopely time and time again. Nothing is being done.
ReplyDeleteI have told them over and over again too. I love the game but am thinking about stopping because of the 880 cheaters. Not fair. VictoyaDBest gets 880 every single day and nothing is being done.

DeleteThanks for contributing! Yes, Scopely is aware of what is going on. They also changed the dice master showdowns so that it is harder to get into the multi-million club in XP. The ones that use the techniques you mentioned usually gravitate towards the premium tournament since the prizes are a lot higher and they have the bonus rolls.
ReplyDeleteSo I checked today's Premium scores and the top 8 spots have perfect scores of 880. I screen capped it just for hits and shiggles. Also, I'm not paying 100 bonus rolls just to have Football themed dice. Not worth it.

DeleteI've been amused with this game till now...spent 20 bucks or so irl money to get rerolls... But today I checked my opponents scores.... Wtf!!!! 600 seems to be lowest... I don't see how this is possible average... Maybe a crazy lucky game, but not average! I want my money back, lol

ReplyDeleteTooManySecrets wins a lot of tournaments with a 880 score with a last 5 game average of 665. I have tried to play him a quite a few times but he always declines. I think his profile name says it all.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of hacking makes me sick. As usual, a select few think that the rukes don't apply to them & they cheat their a$$es off. The game is still fun but if you play anything beyond a bronze tournament, you basically have no chance. These aholes shoukd all be banned.

DeleteThe feedback to my email shows that they want to get the dice but only way to get them is this method. The diamond purchase helps but it takes a long time to collect 2,500 diamonds.

Does anyone know what those emoji's mean at the start of a tower game? They range from a yellow smile to a red-faced devil. Thought it had something to do with the number of points needed to beat the dice master, but that value will stay the same yet the emoji will change. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering the same. My best guess is that they're indicators of how close to the "score to beat" the opponent's final score will be. Smiley faces (I think...haven't checked closely) indicate a final score-to-beat that is close to what's posted before you begin; a red-faced devil indicates a final score that's further (10 pts, etc?) from the pregame posted score. That's my guess anyway.

My frustration is that the game cheats. When you play against the game, it gets multiple (3) in the first 4 rolls. That's BS. PLUS it prevents me from getting anything I need when I roll.

DeleteI agree with you. I think the "dice masters" cheat to get you to buy dice. They get 3 or more Yahtzees every game, when I get my lowest scores ever! I score below 200 most times. It defies probability of it happening every time I play the dice characters. Why does Snopely care if we win a stupid virtual dice character. No fun to play with cheaters!

We are presumably rolling the same virtual dice. Snopely stacks odds in favor of the dice master to sell more rolls, but after awhile it's no fun to play. Why make it so difficult to win these stupid virtual dice masters?!

ReplyDeleteThere are many simple ways that Scopely could minimize cheating. For one thing, they could implement a 3 minute timer to complete a turn in the tournaments, much like the dice duels. This would make it nearly impossible to score 880. They could eliminate the multiple Apps. What possible reason is it necessary to have Yahtzee with buddies, Dice with buddies free, and dice with buddies paid? Eliminating the 2 dice with buddies apps would make it very difficult to score 880
ReplyDeleteIf Scopely refuses to ban the likes of VICTORIADBEST, who scores 880 multiple times every day, they will not ban anyone for cheating. She must have a million bonus rolls by now. I don't know what motivates her. Custom dice I understand but she scores 880 in every tournament.
ReplyDeleteI've contacted Scopely about user VictoryaDBest and the other chronic cheaters in the daily dice tournament a few days ago. They answered quickly and told me they will investigate this user and the others and then decide if any disiplinary action needs to be taken. Also, they said that cheaters will be removed from the leader board, and that they don't condone cheating. I have screenshots going back over two months of the rampant cheating. As of even today, these cheaters are still cheating. None of these players have earned their rewards, so anyone playing this tournament should get the same rewards as well.

This past Christmas we had friends over and someone suggested we play Yahtzee. So, of course we did, and when I said "I want I want to use my Bonus Roll" they all laughed at me.

This naturally, will never happen. Scopely makes a tremendous amount of money selling these. Most people are not aware of this practice and will continue to spend more money and time for the satisfaction of an occasional. And those who cheat will continue without shame.
I cannot understand the "fun" of using these techniques. Perhaps, it is enjoyable to others who also partake in these methods.
ReplyDeleteThere are USUALLY these goals: Collect custom dice, custom frames, fill the frames with jewels, get to level 150. Using these techniques accomplishes the mentioned goals faster. Scopely keeps coming out with new custom assets so I don't see this trend ending soon.
