Scopely introduced a new season of Dice Duels; I'd prefer to call it a new round instead of season but they made a nice change that addressed one of the biggest complaints: players taking too long. More detail about dice duels can be found on this blog..The time limit went from 12 hours down to 3 minutes. This means that your game will be over in about most about 39 minutes (13 x 3 min). I have noticed that the game will end a lot sooner if you score a yahtzee near the beginning of the game. People aren't forfeiting by tapping on the "white flag," but simply letting the time run out!
Another change is the doubling of the diamond rewards (2 for 1). Entry fee starts at one diamond get two for winning, then as you advance in level (bronze, silver, gold, emerald) the fee goes to 2 diamonds, then 5 diamonds at the gold level, 10 diamonds entry at Emerald (win 20) and finally 25 entry for master level (win 50 diamonds). So, you get diamonds and bonus rolls plus XP as you advance with a shorter time fuse.
The new season lasts until March 21st, 2016. You have to reach Emerald and win three games in a row to get the dice duel crown. The goal is to get 100 wins.
