Achievements: Some of the achievements are difficult to get while others are earned by playing long enough. (1/1/2017) It's a bummer that Scopely has taken some of the prizes away from getting the achievements.

Daily Goal
The daily goal is random achievement that one must get in order to receive 2 bonus rolls. A countdown shows how much time is left to get this item, 24 hours beginning at midnight.Dice Master Showdown

Precision Fail - Score only 5 Points in a Game
Someone asked, "How do I get exactly five points on Yahtzee with Buddies?" Simple. Get a5 and score it 5s, 5 x 1s in the one, or Yahtzee with all ones and score it on the chance box and zero out all the rest of the boxes. You have to finish the game. Forfeit won't work. Then forfeit the game. Look for people that have 5 as the lowest score and you know what they did.

I just started playing this game and I was looking for information on the Platinum Roller achievements, which is what led me here. Do you know specifically what you have to do to in order to get those? Im trying to get those Platinum dice. Thank you!

DeleteBUT luck really was on my side because on last turn i only had the chance box to fill...i rolled 4 ones...then on 2nd turn i rolled the 5th one!! i then of course didnt do my 3rd turn...i was shocked how lucky i was..i
did it yesterday on the daily game! really should be awarded something more than a frigging free roll!
Yes. This is how you get the "Precision Fail"
ReplyDeleteSince you have 13 turns for each game, go for a yahtzee of all ones and put it in the chance box, if you don't get it, put a zero in each of the other boxes. Repeat for the whole game. Do this until you get the yahztee but make sure to put it in the chance box for a total of 5 points. Tell your opponent what you are doing also so they don't think you are weird. I did it last weekend in a couple of hours. An added benefit for your opponent is that they might get the "beat an opponent by 275" achievement.

How do you get the Upper Hand (score 150 points in the upper section excluding the bonus)?
ReplyDeleteYou have to get a yahtzee and score it in the upper section. Usually that will mean the second yahtzee, and if you get 5 5's then that will add 75 points right there, or 6 's yahtzee will be 80. When you have a really good game you'll get the achievement. The best yahtzee is a yahtzee of 6's (80 points!) after the first yahtzee which is 50, if you can place it on 6's, 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, or chance

DeleteHow does the achievement work where you get a particular roll (Small Straight, Large Straight or Full House) using a bonus roll? I've gotten a Small Straight where I almost had it in three rolls, and finished it with the Bonus Roll - it didn't show up in the Achievements. I've also gotten a Small Straight by rolling all five dice in the bonus roll - still didn't show up. I am at a loss for how to do this, if neither of those methods counted.
ReplyDeleteSometimes they don't show up immediately. I've looked at some of the support questions and see that on occasion you don't get the achievement but overall it works. It happened to me with 4 of a kind on all upper section. Some of the Lower Section Achievements take a long time to complete.
ReplyDeleteWhat is level II three of a kind achievement?
ReplyDeleteAfter you finish the level 1 three of a kind achievement, it will change to a level 2 and you need to get more of it. For instance, getting 29 on three of a kind is level 1. Get that and it says you need to do it 4 more times for a total of 5 to complete the level II three of a kind on that one.
ReplyDeleteThere is an achievement called Equal Opportunist VI where you need to beat 250 different opponents. I am stuck at 200. Do you know if there is a bug or if I might be ding something wrong?

DeleteLooks like this will have to be a support email to scopely. Make sure you include your username. It takes them about 48 hours or so to get back to you.
ReplyDeleteI have also been stuck at 200 for some time now and have contacted them through the help menu and received a reply stating "that this an issue that we have been actively investigating and endeavouring to get fixed"

What is beast mode
The scratchers are up at the top on an iPhone. Tape the dice icon as if you're going to purchase. At the top, you'll see what appears to be a lightning bolt to the right. Tap on that.

What is the best way to get precise score 290? I get the 5 of a kind and then I get real close on the top but end up going over because of the 35 point bonus. Any tips? I Want those dice and I'm stuck on this one!!
ReplyDeleteI have found that most common is just keeping track of which precision score you need. If you have a lot of games of yahtzee going on, you tend to forget. I did mine focusing what I needed to score for the last roll (0, 20, etc..) Same tactic with the tie game scenerio.

DeleteIt is both. You have to attempt to get them using bonus rolls. I did it by focusing on getting it - it takes FIVE times to get the dice. This challenge is one of the more difficult items to complete.
Why when I win a game I am seeing the dice I've won and a little box with a question mark in it? What is that and where do I find it?

ReplyDeleteThe frames are filled in when you advance in your XP. Some frames are filled in by beating the towers each time but others are earned from accomplish a task. My next post is on the XP frames. :)

I understand they are using different devices and re-installing to get the rolls they want. But still it seems nearly impossible without the help on some type of cheat software!! I don't want the software. I don't want to cheat. I just wonder how they're doing it cuz it has to be some type of hacking software.

I also really want the gold dice, I'm currently in first place for the weekly challenge and if you click on that and hit the question mark it shows the gold dice wrapped in a red bow and it says custom dice. Will I get those if I win the weekly challenge??
