The Clue Community Event just started today (1/14/16) and lasts for 25 days. You have 25 days to collect 80 clues (magnifying glasses). You do this in various ways but playing will get you one. Beating the characters in the showdown will get you more, and so will doing tournaments.Note that it says that you must qualify (get 80 magnifying glasses) and the community (all the players) have to collect 25,000,000 magnifying glasses. There are three tiers: 200 XP, 400 XP and 600 XP if everyone helps out. You have to wait 25 days to get your dice even if you finish early.
There are prizes for beating the dice masters. First you get XP, Bonus Rolls and/or Diamonds. You earned a few in the "Diamond Fortress" right?
Beat the whole showdown and get Cluedo Black Custom Dice. Beating the showdown gets you this new vanity profile. Each time you beat the clue showdown, you get a new marker around the vanity. Can you beat it five times?Notice again, that once you beat a dice master that you can skip the waiting period by using some diamonds. For those of you asking, "What are diamonds for in Yahtzee with Buddies?" Now you know!
They are used like bonus rolls but harder to get.

BRONZE LEVEL: Completing gets 5 Bonus Rolls
Professor Plum: 50 XP, 1 Clue, 171 Avg
Monsieur Brunette: 100 XP, 2 Clues, 192 Avg
Colonel Mustard: 200 XP, 5 Clues, 233 Avg
SILVER LEVEL: Completing gets 15 Bonus Rolls
Miss Scarlet: 300 XP, 2 Clues, 240 Avg
Mr. Green: 500 XP, 4 Clues, 255 Avg
Lady Lavendar: 750 XP, 6 Clues, 266 Avg
Madam Rose: 1,000 XP, 10 Clues, 270 Avg
GOLD LEVEL: Completing gets 30 Bonus Rolls and Vanity Profile Crown
Sgt Gray: 2,000 XP, 10 Clues, 285 Avg
Rusty Nayler: 2,500 XP, 15 Clues, 305 Avg
Ms. White: 3,000 XP, 20 Clues, 315 Avg
Prince Azure: 4,000 XP, 25 Clues, 325 Avg
Miss Peach: 5,000 XP, 50 Clues, 340 Avg
Beat the final dice master 4 more times and get a marker for each time on the vanity crown. Remember that for every 80 clues, you get a scratcher! Good luck.
I beat the challenge today (January 24th) using a fresh start; especially after Miss Peach got three yahtzee (50,70,80) at a certain point... I got the traditional, "You are in the top 1%" pop ups when it finished. It showed two crowns for the achievement. I'm not sure I want to try it four more times though.

How do you get to the community event page? I've looked all over the game and can't find it.
ReplyDeleteOn the main screen when you load the yahtzee with buddies app, above where all the games you have going (above the YOUR TURN) is a EVENTS + REWARDS link. Tap that and the SPECIAL EVENTS heading will show all the current events going on at the moment. The first one will be a fingerprint and a VIEW button next to it. Tapping the view button will display the screen that is posted on this blog.

DeleteThe Clue Detective Showdown under the special events tab says that completing the tower earns you nutcracker dice. Can anyone confirm this to be true, or is it just a bizarre oversight?
